Paula Champa is an American author, editor, and design journalist. Her debut novel, The Afterlife of Emerson Tang, was selected as a Notable Design Book of 2013 by Designers & Books. The novel weaves an intricate narrative about moving forward after loss and the lasting marks that people, objects, and environments leave on our personal histories.
She has written on sustainability and transformation in a range of industries as a copywriter for U.S. and global corporations and as an editor and contributor to design magazines including Surface, Intersection, and I.D.
From 2000-2010 she reported on the emergence of sustainable transportation. The Afterlife of Emerson Tang was published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2013.
